Long Lasting & Elegant
I love how the fragrance develops over time. Starts fresh and becomes warm and sweet later.
Sarah Martinez
Experience the mysterious, incense-filled allure of a hidden woodland retreat with Bond No. 9 Governors Island, a hypnotic and seductive fragrance that captures the deep, magical essence of the island's dense forests . Launched in 2018, this rule-breaking composition is a symphony of tenacious forest notesβingredients typically reserved for a fragrance's drydownβused here as the entire olfactory structure, creating a bold and unconventional scent experience .
The fragrance opens with the warm, concentrated embrace of resin incense, evoking the mystical atmosphere of ancient woodlands . This segues into a heart of dark, honeyed ambrox and dry, tobacco-like cedarwood, creating a halo-like glow that radiates sophistication . As the scent settles, a base of animal-like white musk, boosted by muscenone, combines with a soft, feminine interpretation of crisp vetiver, leaving a lasting and addictive trail . The result is an olfactive paradoxβa scent that invokes the island's recreational spirit while embracing a deep, mysterious sensuality.
Governors Island is more than just a fragrance; it is an embodiment of the island's natural beauty and historical significance. Housed in a pure white bottle adorned with seaworthy blue and gold visuals, the design features the Bond No. 9 token on one side and the printed names of must-see island venuesβincluding Hammock Groveβon the other . This Eau de Parfum is the perfect choice for those who appreciate a sophisticated, incense-rich scent that is both calming and captivating, suitable for all genders .
